WILD AND LUXURY IN EXCITING PLACES

About us

Our lodges are surrounded by the two most beautiful landscapes of Uganda; these areas are the absolute tourist highlights of Uganda.

The Sharp Iceland Gorilla Lodge is at the edge of the Bwindi Forest National Park, which is famous for its mountain gorillas, of which there are only 600 animals left worldwide.

The Kabalega Wilderness Lodge is on the banks of the Victoria Nile directly at Murchison Falls National Park, one of the most interesting and beautiful national parks in Africa, which is home to chimpanzees, elephants, hippos, lions and more.

Both lodges share the same social background: 20% of the proceeds go to projects of the Jane Goodall Institute in Uganda.

The Wilderness Lodges Uganda offer African flair and European standards at fair prices.

We attach great importance to cozy, comfortable accommodation of our guests as well as to a delicious, varied cuisine and extensive and competent local support.

Social traveling

The highest degree of hospitality for a good cause. Both lodges share the same social background: 20% of the proceeds go to projects of the Jane Goodall Institute in Uganda.
We use our long-term experience with aid projects in Uganda to strengthen and support the region and the people who live there, such as the project to support the Batwa Pygmies: as one of the oldest tribes in Africa, they are supported with programs for education, agriculture and water management projects.
Other projects of the Jane Goodall Institute can be found here. (Link)

Kabalega Wilderness Lodge — Uganda

Kabalega Wilderness lodge derives its name from Omukama (King) Chwa II Kabalega, also Kabalega (18 June 1853 – 6 April 1923), who was the ruler of Bunyoro in Uganda from 1870 to 1899 and is considered the greatest King in the history of Uganda. The Bunyoro Kingdom is the home of Murchison Falls National Park; our lodge is a tribute to this great King and the people and culture of Bunyoro.

Sharp Island Gorilla Lodge — Uganda

This beautiful Lodge was inaugurated in 2015 and is based on an island by the scenically lake Bunyonyi in the wonderful Kigezi Highlands. On the westside the mountainous Bwindi Impenetrable National Park rise where the mountain gorillas are located.
